ABOUT PATRICIA

Patricia is passionate about the human voice and is the founder of Core Vocal Technique. Core Vocal Technique is based on her expertise and training throughout her 30+ year career. This includes her own training as a professional singer as well as her certification as Australia's first and only Certified McClosky Voice Technician (CMVT).

 

Patricia has dedicated her career to understanding and assisting her clients with achieving vocal efficiency and vocal freedom. She regularly works with clients on establishing or improving optimal vocal technique to fulfil their needs. She works with clients across the vocal spectrum, including students, amateurs and professional voice users.

 

Patricia regularly works with clients on establishing or improving optimal vocal technique to fulfil their personal and professional needs (from speech to song).

 

In addition, she specialises in complex vocal issues and works with a range of ENTs and vocal physios in Australia to address these complaints (ranging from pre- and formed vocal nodules, Muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD), laryngitis, reflux, vocal strain, essential tremor and more).

Her services include vocal tuition and coaching; corporate care; public speaking; troubled voices; accent coaching; teacher's/lecturer's wellbeing; relaxation and realignment; and vocal workshops.

Patricia regularly performs worldwide and specialises in modern music and early music; however, she has performed across genres – from jazz to classical, cabaret to opera, and beyond. In 2014 - 2015, she represented the nation of Australia to Germany on official sponsored exchange and was a Performance Scholar for the ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions.

 

Patricia is an Artist/Owner of the arts organisation Curate (Curate Arts Incorporated), and she is the conductor of the Perth Gospel Choir and The Christmas Choir.
