Service Description

Event Details Patricia Alessi is Australia's only Certified McClosky Voice Technician (CMVT). CMVTs work on healthy efficiency of the voice, and this is more important now than ever post-pandemic with many experiencing zoom-fatigue, regular vocal loss and projection issues. This half-day professional development session will provide an overview of vocal care as well as introduce registered participants to the McClosky Technique. The goal of the McClosky Technique is functional efficiency: coordinating the different parts of the vocal mechanism so that, whether in song or in speech, each part of the body is doing its proper job, with little or no effort wasted. CMVTs teach a series of exercises to release counter-productive tensions, a stance that promotes efficient, easy breathing, and an easy onset of tone. This is the perfect introduction for those of you who are looking to address healthy vocal use and using your voice to the best of its ability. Tickets and Material Fee Ticket Fee: $250 per person Your ticket includes: 📝 participant materials (including learning booklet and Certificate of Participation at end of session) 🩺optimal speaking range assessment for each participant (this is optional; however, it is included in your participant registration) 👍It is recommended that participants bring their water bottles with them to this session; however, if you do forget, we will have water and cups on site.
